For A Rainy Day…

Any of you locals tired of this wash out yet? I know, I know…we need the rain. But jeez…

I’ve been wanting to take a shot at a dual-use blend (for both drip and espresso), and my original intention was to make it “light and bright” so to speak. But this weather has changed my mood decisively. The light-and-bright deal is coming (soon, in fact). In the meantime, however, I’ve decided to play with a “dark and brooding” alternative, better suited to the wind and rain!

Blend No. 31 (informally named, for now), is composed of top-grade selections from Yemen, Ethiopia and Tanzania, and boasts thick sweetness, complex chocolate notes, as well as sweet tobacco, dried apricot and plum.

Full details can be found here and hope you check it out.

In the meantime, stay warm and dry if you can!

I just heard a loud clap of thunder overhead. Thunder! … in the Richmond!! You East coast transplants get it, right!!?? 🙂
